56th Half Yearly Meeting of TOLIC , Bhubaneswar held
Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Bank), Bhubaneswar has organized it’s 56th half yearly meeting on 29.08.2024 at State Bank of India, Local Head Office in the Chairmanship of Shri Dinesh Pruthi, Chairman, TOLIC (Bank) & Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Bhubaneswar. Shri Nirmal Kumar Dubey, Assistant Director (Implementation), Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs,Government of India, Shri Sarada Prasanna Mohanty, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Dr. Sudhanshu K.K. Mishra, Chief General Manager, NABARD, Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, Vice Chairman, TOLIC (Bank), Bhubaneshwar&Circle Development Officer, State Bank of India have also graced the occasion. Regional and Zonal Heads of all Public Sector Banks and Insurance Companies situated at Bhubaneswar, senior executives and Rajbhasha Officers were also present in the meeting.
The meeting was started with the welcome address by Sri Manoj Kumar Singh, Vice President, TOLIC (Bank), Bhubaneswar.In his welcome address Shri Singh appreciated all the members for their active cooperation and pro-active attitude in Official Language Implementation in their respective offices. Shri Nirmal Kumar Dubey, Assistant Director, Ministry of Home Affairs in his review appreciated the performance of TOLIC (Bank) Bhubaneswar and said that this committee is one of the best committees in the country. It is a matter of pride that the Committee continuously receiving the ‘Rajbhasha Kirti Award’ at the national level for last few years. He also urged all new members to keep the enthusiasm intact and continue to work actively for furtherance of the cause. Chairman, TOLIC (Bank), Bhubaneswar Shri Dinesh Pruthi in his address said that we are all associated with the service sector and the role of Hindi and regional languages is immense in providing better customer service. He also stressed on finding ways to increase the use of Hindi on digital platforms.RBI, Regional Director, Shri S. P. Mohanty said that this committee is doing commendable work in the promotion of official language. Chief General Manager, NABARD said that NABARD is using Hindi and regional language to increase financial literacy and awareness among customers.
During the review meeting,winners of various Hindi competitions organized by the member offices arealso felicitated. The program was conducted by Shri B.B. Gopal Reddy, Member Secretary and Assistant General Manager (Official Language), State Bank of India. The meeting was ended with a vote of thanks by Shri Vivek Kumar Yadav, Assistant General Manager (Official Language), RBI.
