Gram Sabha Conducted for NTPC Darlipali Expansion Project at Darlipali Gram Panchayat
Darlipali,prabaha news : The Gram Sabha for NTPC Darlipali was convened today at Darlipali Gram Panchayat as part of the statutory process preceding the submission of the Land Acquisition Application in Sundargarh district for setting up an additional unit(1×800 MW) of the NTPC Darlipali project.
The meeting was chaired by Smt. Atisi Parida, Block Development Officer, Lephripada,Sundargarh and Smt. Nalini Kumura, Sarpanch, Darlipali, in the presence of officials from the Land Acquisition Department, NTPC representatives, and villagers of Darlipali Gram Panchayat.
It was informed that Sundargarhbeing a scheduled district, this Gram Sabha was conducted as per the regulations of the PESA Act. During the session, project authorities shared detailed information about the upcoming expansion project and the land proposed for acquisition.
Villagers participated actively in Gram Sabha and requested the company to undertake additional developmentinitiatives under its CSR programs. NTPC officials highlighted various developmental and welfare activities already carried out in Darlipali and nearby villages and assured the community that similar initiatives would continue in the future.
