Bicycle Rally & Awareness Drive by Tata Steel Kalinganagar to Environmental Awareness Campaign
Kalinganagar, September 8, 2026: As part of the ongoing Environmental Awareness Campaign (Sept 7–16) themed “Swachhta & Plastic-Free Living”, an awareness-cum-bicycle rally was organised by Tata Steel Kalinganagar (TSK) at Kalinganagar on Tuesday.
The ‘Cycling for a Greener Future’ rally, held at the Sir Dorabji Tata Sports Complex, Kalinganagar Township, saw participation from more than 100 employees. The event was graced by Sapan Kumar Nanda, Additional District Magistrate, Jajpur; Suprasanna Mallick, Additional Superintendent of Police, Kalinganagar; Er. Madan Mohan Sahoo, Regional Officer, Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB); and Ravi Marik, Chief Corporate Services, Tata Steel Kalinganagar, alongside other senior officials from TSK, Neelachal Ispat Nigam, and Jindal Stainless.
Before the start of the event, participants took the ‘Mission LiFE’ pledge. The rally aimed to promote non-motorised transport, improve air quality, and reduce single-use plastic.
On the previous day, an awareness session was organised at the Government High School, Golagaon, Duburi, Jajpur, where various competitions were conducted. During the event, students also took the ‘Mission LiFE’ pledge, and winners of the various competitions were felicitated.
