Hon’ble Puri MP Shri Sambit Patra Inaugurates PM Surya Ghar Stall at Delang Under Seva Setu Abhiyan

Puri, October 12, 2026: Hon’ble Puri Lok Sabha MP Shri Sambit Patra inaugurated a dedicated stall for the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana at Delang in Puri district, encouraging eligible households to adopt rooftop solar and avail themselves of government subsidies. The initiative is part of TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited’s (TPCODL) Seva Setu outreach under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, aimed at bringing scheme-related information and assistance closer to consumers.

Pipili-Delang Hon’ble MLA Shri Ashrit Pattanayak, the local Tahasildar, Block Development Officer (BDO) and senior TPCODL officials were present on the occasion.

During their visit to the stall, the Hon’ble MP and MLA appreciated TPCODL’s efforts to promote rooftop solar adoption and emphasised the importance of eligible households availing themselves of the available government subsidy benefits promptly. Their participation highlighted the importance of grassroots awareness and local outreach in encouraging more consumers to explore the benefits of rooftop solar.

Through Seva Setu Camps, TPCODL provides consumers with on-the-spot registration support, information on government subsidies, guidance on bank loans and financing options, and assistance with vendor selection. These initiatives help simplify the adoption process by enabling consumers to access relevant information and assistance closer to their communities.

The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan commenced on September 17, marking the occasion of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s birthday, and will continue until October 17. With over 79,400 rooftop solar installations across its operational area, TPCODL is further intensifying its outreach to accelerate the adoption of rooftop solar and enable more households across Central Odisha to benefit from clean energy under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
