Dhananjay Singh could not contest the election
Prayagraj (Prabah News): The Allahabad High Court has approved the bail of former Jainpur MP Dhananjay Singh but refused to hear his sentence. Because of this, he cannot contest in Lok Sabha elections.
Justice Sanjay Kumar Singh gave this verdict at 12:00 on Saturday. The decision has been reserved till Thursday. Jainpur’s MP-MLA special court has sentenced a former MP and another person to seven years in jail for kidnapping Namami Gange project manager. A criminal revision petition filed against the verdict sought to quash the sentence.
