NTPC Darlipali awarded NTPC ‘Utkarsh Merit Scholarship’ to 63 StudentsNTPC
Darlipali : prabaha news : Quality Education is the most valuable gift you could bless a student with, paying heed to the above saying, on March 19th, 2025, NTPC Darlipali distributed scholarships to meritorious students from classes X and XII who reside in the project affected and periphery villages of the project site. This initiative is part of NTPC’s flagship CSR program, the NTPC Utkarsh Merit Scholarship Program. A total of 63 students from 19 schools received the scholarship during the event.
The program began with a comprehensive address being delivered by the Hon’ble Executive Director, Shri Ram Bhajan Malik. He congratulated the meritorious students and wished them all success and encouraged the students to work hard towards their ambitions with passion and zeal. He also emphasized the importance of education for nation building. Along with him, the award distribution program was also graced by ADEO Sundargarh Shri Sarangadhar Bariha and BEO Shri Ashok Lakra.
The objective of ‘NTPC Utkarsh’ – Merit scholarship is to encourage the deserving brilliant students from the economically weaker and marginalized section of the community in target villages of NTPC Projects / Stations for higher education and to create a competitive spirit among the students.
On this auspicious occasion, GM (O&M) Shri Hare Ram Singh, HOD’s, HoHR, members of the Abhilasha Ladies Club, DEWA, DEAN, Executive club, Sports Council, Head-masters and teachers from the local govt schools and other senior officials were present. Scholarship awardee students and their families remained present during the event and witnessed the noble initiative directed towards improving the level of education in society. NTPC Darlipali has long been helping the underprivileged with its inclusive and development-promoting initiatives and remains committed towards the same in the times to come.
