NTPC Darlipali Celebrates 78th Independence Day with Great Joy

Sundargarh (15 August 2024): The 78th Independence Day celebrated in a grand manner in a joyous atmosphereon 15 August at Utkarsh Bhawan of the NTPC Darlipali Project. The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, HOP (Darlipali), Shri Harsh Nath Chakraborty by hoisting the flag. The audience was present at Utkarsh Bhawan and sang the national anthem during the flag hoisting. The platoon of CISF personnel demonstrated a deep sense of patriotism on the Independence Day celebrations. In this episode, the Chief Guest inspected the contingents involved in the ceremony and took their salute.

Chief Guest Shri Harsh Nath Chakraborty wished everyone on the occasion of 78th Independence Day celebration. Chief guestin his addresssaid that today’s (15 August) day especially gave us a great opportunity to remember our immortal martyrs and freedom fighters and salute them. Our country is on the path of progress, and power generation is a basic necessity for the development of the country. He also said that our aim is to provide uninterrupted electricity of maximum quality to the nation without harming the environment. He said that the continuous progress of NTPC Darlipali is a result of the hard work, honesty and dedication of the employees. And as a result of this, during the financial year 2023–24, Darlipali station stood 7th among NTPC stations with an annual PLF of 85.77% and ranked first in monthly PLF during March 2024. He also mentioned some of the major works done by NTPC Darlipali and discussed the positive initiatives being taken by NTPC Darlipali towards safety and environment.

In the award distribution ceremony, Medha Competition Award, Humanitarian Award, GM’s Meritorious Award were distributed. Along with this, meritorious students of classes 10th and 12th of Bal Bharti School were also awarded for educational excellence. At the end of the program, the best platoon of the Central Industrial Security Force was awarded.

On the 78th Independence Day celebration, Sh. Hare Ram Singh (General Manager), Smt. Pratibha Singh (Human Resources Head), Heads of various departments, CMO Darlipali, Deputy Commandant CISF, President of Abhilasha Ladies Club, Principal of the school, officers of various union associations and other family members of Darlipali were present in the program.
