NTPC Darlipali paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, Bapuji on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti
Sundargarh,prabaha tv : NTPC Darlipali organized Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October in a grand manner. On this occasion, a mini merathon was also organised. This program was organised at the stadium of Shubhrajyoti Nagar. On this occasion, Shri Ram Bhajan Malik, Head of Project (Darlipali) paid tribute to Gandhiji by garlanding his statue. Along with General Manager (O&M) Shri Hare Ram Singh, department heads also garlanded and paid floral tribute.
During the program, while highlighting the biography of Mahatma Gandhi, the HoP appealed to adopt Gandhiji ideals in their lives. And he also requested that we all play our role in realising Gandhiji’s dream of a clean India by keeping our surroundings clean.
Mini marathon organised on Gandhi Jayanti
A mini marathon was organisedon the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti at NTPC Darlipali. The marathon started at 7:00 am from Tower B2 – C2 Park in Shubhrajyoti Nagar. Shri Ram Bhajan Malik, HOP (Darlipali), flagged off the marathon. Children from 0 to 5 years, children from 5 to 14 years, youth from 14 to 40 years, and employees above 40 years of age participated in the marathon. Women and children of the township, along with male and female employees, participated in this marathon. The winners of first, second, and third place in the marathon were also honoured with prizes and medals.
On this occasion, prizes were given to the winners of the competitions organized during Swachhata Pakhwada – 2024. During this, representatives of unions and associations, CISF personnel, NTPC employees, women and a large number of BBPS school students were present.
