PPA conducts a combined Multi Agency Coordination Mock Drill in collaboration with NDRF

A combined Multi Agency Coordination Mock Drill in collaboration with NDRF 3rd  Battalion, Mundali was organized at main fire station of Paradip Port today . The Mock Drill carries significance in view of upcoming the cyclonic system over Bay of Bengal as it will fine tune the preparedness of Team PPA to meet any kind of eventuality. 

The drill included various aspects like terrorist attack & hostage crisis management at signal station followed by ammonium nitrate fire fighting cum search and rope rescue and CBRNE emergency cum victim management. State Fire and Hospital services, mutual aid partners and stakeholders participated in this sensitization mock drill.

Dr. P.N. Bahekar, Secretary, PPA, District Disaster Management authority as well as Harbour Master and Addl. Assistant Director,  Dock safety and representatives of State Fire service, IOCL pipeline, IOCL refinery, IFFCO, PPL, JSW, IOCL terminal, BPCL terminal, HPCL terminal, KICT, PICT remained present as Guests of Honor- cum – observers and also their response units participated in the on – site emergency Mock Drill in respect of which table top exercise was carried out last evening at the Administrative Building of Paradip Port in which NDRF Commandant  Shri Vardhaman Mishra addressed and briefed stakeholders about the importance of resource mapping. Secretary, PPA Dr. Bahekar expressed gratitude to NDRF for their spontaneous response and active participation.

CISF Commandant Shri Akshat Patel  gave emphasis on gap analysis and appreciated the rope rescue and chemical emergency management mechanism. CISF Dy. Commandant, Fire Shri Bishnu swaroop offered vote of thanks. The program was coordinated by Company Commander, Fire wing Shri Bhaskar Das.
