Rain Likely In Several Odisha Districts Till March 22: IMD
Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha may witness rain or thundershower till March 22, predicted the IMD today.
Light rainfall was reported from one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Koraput and Bhadrak during last 24 hours, said the IMD.
March 19: Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Boudh and at a few places over the remaining districts of Odisha on March 19, said the IMD regional centre in its evening bulletin today.
Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind reaching up to 50 kmph may occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal and Angul on the day. Besides, thunderstorm with lightening is very likely to occur at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha on March 19, said the IMD bulletin.
March 20: Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts Sundargarh, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur and at one or two places over the remaining districts of Odisha on March 20, predicted the IMD.
Moreover, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj,Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur on the day.
March 21: As per the IMD prediction, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Malkangiri, Koraput, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Ganjam and Gajapati on March 21. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha on the day.
March 22: Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Ganjam and Gajapati on March 22. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha on the day, said the IMD.
“The capital city of Bhubaneswar may witness rain or thundershower with strong gusty winds during the next 24 hours,” said the IMD in its evening bulletin today.
There will be no large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) across the state during the next three days. The day temperature may gradually rise by 2-4 degree Celsius thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha, added the IMD.
