CARE Hospitals Bhubaneswar organized a CARE connect program
The CARE Hospitals Bhubaneswar organized an interaction with Paediatric Heart Surgery Patients as part of CARE connect program, which is a first of its kind patient centric initiative of CARE hospitals. It is initiated to relive the nostalgia of the recovered Patients who are invited with their family members as Guests to engage socially with the treating doctors, nurses and staff and share their experiences and journey. This way both patient and hospital staff are able to engage informally and have a good time in each other company outside the hospital environment. The program was addressed by Hospital Chief Operating Officer Kislay Anand, Senior Pediatric Cardiologist Dr. Prashant PrakashRao Patil and Dr. Lokanath Dash (AVP – BD).
Kislay Anand (HCOO – CARE Hospitals BBSR) said that Pediatric Cardiac Care in Odisha has grown from the infancy stage to Childhood. In delivering Pediatric Cardiac specialty, CARE Hospitals has taken the first step towards being making the state self-sufficient. With CARE being the household name for Cardiac procedures in Odisha, we are aiming at establishing the same credibility for Pediatric Cardiac Procedures.

It promises to be an attractive and sought-after subspeciality of Pediatrics, dealing with not only congenital cardiac diseases but also metabolic, rheumatic and host of other cardiac diseases. Dr Lokanath Dash (AVP – BD) spoke about the importance of government health schemes like BSKY which has enabled patients from economically vulnerable families to avail high quality healthcare services. Also, with various corporate and insurance tie-ups, use of health care services and better health outcomes for CHD is quite easy. Government has tied up with 3 Hospitals outside odisha but we are the only brand in odisha to provide this specialty on a full scale. We will also be launching pediatric cardiac surgery to treat more complex cases which needs surgery.
