ECoR OBSERVED INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA-2023

The East Coast Railway (ECoR) observed the International Day of Yoga yesterday, with staff and officers led by its General Manager, Shri Manoj Sharma, participating in a yoga session held at Rail Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.

The importance of good health at both the individual and family levels cannot be overstated. The International Day of Yoga is celebrated worldwide with increased mass participation, amplifying the message of universal well-being. Yoga contributes to creating a healthy and peaceful society by harnessing collective energy.

The International Day of Yoga was observed across the entire territory of ECoR. All the divisions of ECoR, namely Khurda Road, Sambalpur, and Waltair, also observed the International Day of Yoga. Employees and officials from other railway establishments such as the Mancheswar Carriage Repair Workshop, Coaching Depots, and different branch offices also observed IDY 2023 at various locations.

Gracing the occasion, General Manager Shri Manoj Sharma emphasized that yoga is one of the best ways to maintain physical and mental fitness. He urged officials to practice yoga regularly for improved health, strength, and peace.

Members of the East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (ECoRWWO), led by its President Smt. Divya Sharma, also participated in the grand yoga event. Principal Chief Personnel Officer Shri Tushar Kanti Mandal coordinated the Yoga Day celebrations.
