I’m Not In The Race To Become Odisha CM: Jual Oram
Rourkela: Union Minister Of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram on Wednesday pacified the rumours of his CM candidacy, at the party’s District Executive Meeting here.
Clarifying his position, Oram said that he is not in the race to become Odisha CM.
“I am not interested in the chief ministerial post at all. Let the party make this decision. I think for the party rather than thinking for myself. Similarly, my party makes decision on behalf of me,” he said.
Earlier, a day before the beginning of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s National Executive meeting at Bhubaneswar, Oram dropped a bombshell by saying his party has “five to seven potential chief ministerial candidates” for Odisha.
Jual’s statement was then seen as a reflection of his personal ambition. It also irked some of his fellow party members as there was a speculation that BJP is projecting Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as its CM face in Odisha.
