State Bank celebrated 132nd birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar

State Bank of India Bhubaneswar Circle has celebrated 132nd Birth Annivesary of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Founder of Indian Constitution. To celebrate the occasion, a meeting was organised by SBI SC/ST Employees’ Welfare Council at SBI Bhubaneswar Main branch under leadership of President Shri Sourav Ranjan Das. SBI Bhubaneswar Circle CGM Shri Chander Shekhar Sharma attended the meeting as chief guest and inaugurated the event by lighting of lamps. Shri Sharma describing on life and achievements of Dr Ambedkar, highlighted on his contribution in Banking sector and development of India. He called upon united efforts by all and sundry for overall development of one’s institution and country. In the meeting, meritorious students were awarded and honourable persons from different fields were felicitated. Chief Advisor of council Shri Bansidhar Sethi introduced guests and General Secretary Shri Jitendra Naik read out achievements of council .  Smt Sanjukta Sethi extended vote of thanks.

Under leadership of Circle Development Officer Shri Manoj Kumar Singh and Secretary of Council Shri Jitendra Naik, a CSR activity was carried out at Louis Braille Blind School and Rajadhani Deaf and Dumb School  located at Bharatpur, Bhubaneswar. Cooler cum water filter and food items were donated by SBI to its inmates. A beautiful welcome song was presented by the girl students of Brille School in the evening. CGM Shri Sharma donated a modern harmonium for high musical skill of the disabled students.
