TPCODL Completes ‘Mission Chakanayana-2026’, Strengthens Power Network for Rath Yatra
TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has successfully completed ‘Mission Chakanayana-2026’, a special one-day mass preventive maintenance drive undertaken as part of its comprehensive preparedness for the world-famous Rath Yatra 2026 in Puri. The mission covered Puri town and key power corridors connecting the pilgrim city, with the support of around 400 personnel, including dedicated teams from Puri, Khordha, Balugaon and Nayagarh divisions under Bhubaneswar-II Circle.
The drive included preventive maintenance of 33 kV, 11 kV and LT networks, tree trimming, conductor restringing, hotspot rectification, installation of lightning arresters and maintenance of primary substations and transformers at critical locations across Puri and its surrounding areas.
With the successful completion of Mission Chakanayana-2026, TPCODL has further strengthened its power distribution network and operational preparedness to ensure uninterrupted, reliable and safe electricity supply throughout the Rath Yatra festivities.
