Heat Wave To Hit Odisha From Tomorrow Till April 1
Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to reel under heat wave conditions from tomorrow till April 1, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted today.
As per the prediction, maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to rise gradually by 2 to 3°C during the next 3 days and no large change thereafter. It will be above normal by 3 to 5°C at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next 3-4 days.
The Meteorological Centre has issued Yellow Warning for the districts in connection with the heat wave forecast.
Below is the day-wise forecast:
March 30: Heat wave condition likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir and Bargarh.
March 31: Heat wave condition likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Angul, Kalahandi and Sambalpur.
April 1: Heat wave condition likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Angul and Sambalpur.
People of the districts have been advised to take precautionary measures while going outside between 12 noon and 3 pm.
