MoBus Service In Puri From April 1
Bhubaneswar: After reaching a milestone in rolling out buses under the title ‘MoBus’ for four successful years in cities like Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) is all set to launch MoBus services in pilgrim town Puri from April 1, on auspicious occasion of Utkal Dibasa.
The CRUT revealed it on its official Twitter handle today.
Already, CRUT has been providing MoBus services in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Khordha and Puri.
Currently, the MoBus express services are in operational on two routes in Puri.
With launching of intra town MoBus services, the pilgrims as well as residents of Puri will be benefitted to avail comfortable ride at affordable rates.
As per the decision, MoBus will be plying from Puri Bus Stand to Light House via Puri Railway Station, Zilla School, Sea Beach Road, Chaitanya Square and Swarga Dwar on Route No. 52.
Similarly, the bus will be operated from Malatipatpur Bus Stand to Puri Bus Stand via Biraharekrushnapur, Bata Mangala Temple, Athara Nala and Matiapada Square on Route No. 53.
In view of continuous demand of pilgrims, CRUT has decided to begin intracity MoBus services in Puri for the first time, the CRUT stated in a release.
CRUT is set to launch MoBus services in predominant pilgrim destinations like Puri. We hope that thousands of pilgrims flocking the town from different parts of the district will get the benefits from the intracity MoBus service,” said Sanjay Kumar Singh, Managing Director, CRUT.
“Since Puri and Konark are world famous cultural heritage sites, people had been demanding for MoBus services on these routes since long. Considering their demand, we started MoBus services from Bhubaneswar to Puri and Konark. For passengers’ convenience, the MoBus service will commence in Puri connecting key local areas in the town from April 1 (Friday), informed Dipti Mahapatro, General Manager, CRUT.
