Colleges, Universities In Odisha To Remain Closed On Sabitri
Bhubaneswar: All colleges and universities under Higher Education Department across Odisha will remain closed on auspicious occasion of Sabitri Amabasya on May 30.
In this regard, the State Higher Education Principal Secretary Saswat Mishra has written to Principals and Vice Chancellors of both government and private degree colleges and universities for closure of educational institutions on Sabitri.
Moreover, the State Government has curtailed the summer vacation at all educational institutions under Higher Education Department this year.
As per the order, the summer vacation at higher educational institutions will be from June 1 to 16, 2022, for a period of only 16 days.
The decision to cut short this year’s summer vacation has been taken to complete all academic activities in time and to cover the syllabus that could not be completed due to Covid-19 pandemic.
