Electoral bonds were Modi government’s biggest scam – Prashant Bhushan

Bhubaneswar, : In a press conference organized by the Lok Shakti Abhiyan at Lohia Academy, the senior advocate of the Supreme Court said that the BJP government at the center has used the ED and CBI to collect huge party donations from various companies and business organizations through election bonds. While Rs.16,000 crores have gone to various parties through bonds, BJP has received more than Rs.8,000 crores. Even after receiving the grant, thousands of crores of rupees have been allocated. The drug control officials have turned a blind eye to the production of substandard drugs by the pharmaceutical companies. Black money is transacted through these bonds. An application has been made in the Supreme Court for the investigation of all this through the SIT and the court will conduct the investigation under its own control. Prashant Bhushan said that Modi government’s claim of transparency has been proven false.
Anjali Bharadwaj, the leader of the Right to Information Movement, who is the petitioner, said that the Modi government has taken away the independence of all government institutions and used it against its own partisan interests and opposition. He appealed to the voters to answer this in the current election. Prafulla Samantara, president of Lok Shakti Abhiyan, said that the Biju Janata Dal ruling party of the state has violated all the laws and constitution to loot the mines by getting Rs.1000 crore from mining companies. The BJP government at the center has cooperated in this. Therefore, he has called to remove these two parties from power.
