Odisha: Drunk Man Kills Wife Over Family Feud; Arrested

Jeypore: Family feud led to a tragic end after a drunk man allegedly killed his wife with a digging bar in Bhudan Colony under Koraput Town  police limits in the district today.

However, police have arrested the accused and are interrogating him in this connection.

Sources said the couple worked in a local hotel. An altercation broke out between the couple in wee hours today over some issues. In a fit of rage, the accused hit his wife with the digging bar killing her on the spot. Hearing noises from the house, the owner of the house, in which the couple was staying on rent, called up police.

A police team reached the spot and broke open the door to find the body in the house.

“The  accused has been arrested and a probe into the incident has already been initiated,” said Koraput SDPO Manoj Pujari.
