Odisha: Man Kills 5 Of Elder Brother’s Family, Surrenders

Cuttack: In a shocking and heart-wrenching incident, a man killed five members of his elder brother’s family, including two kids at Kusupur village under Mahanga police limits in Cuttack district today.

The accused as identified as Siba Sahu later surrendered before Balichandrapur police and confessed to his crime.

Sources said Siba killed his elder brother Alekha, his wife and three children, including two minor boys with sharp weapon and later locked the house from outside. He later went to Balichandrapur police station in Jajpurdistrict to surrender. On receiving information, a police team reached the spot and began investigation into the incident in presence of the Magistrate.

Meanwhile, the accused has released a video confessing to his crime.

In the video, he stated that his elder brother deprived him of his rights on parental property, for which he was staying in a rented house. Siba also alleged that he had been subjected to mental torture by his elder brother’s family.

“My elder brother and his family had been torturing me since long. Last night, I was severely beaten by them, after which I lost my mental balance and killed all of them. Now I’m going to surrender before Balichandrapur police as I don’t have money to go Mahanga police station for the same,” the accused said in the video.
