Observation of International Day of Yoga – 2022 at PPA

Paradip: Paradip Port Authority observed the 8th International Day of Yoga with the theme “Yoga for Humanity” today with great enthusiasm. Shri P.L.Haranadh, Chairman, PPA inaugurated the event at Biju Convention Centre in presence of Shri, A.K.Bose, Dy.Chairman, PPA.

Shri Tapas Ranjan Pati, experienced faculty of the Art of Living conducted the Yoga session. Huge number of participants have also virtually joined live streaming of IDY 2022 observations from Mysuru Palace ground led by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Of late, the practice of Yoga has emerged as one of the most powerful way to ensure our holistic well being.

The CISF Unit of PPA, Volunteers of Paradip Sakshyarata Samiti, local school students along with PPA employees also joined the Yoga demonstration. Banners, hoardings and Electronic Display Boards highlighted the significance of the observation of International Day of Yoga to build awareness among the local populace. It is to be noted that Paradip Ladies Club is daily conducting evening Yoga classes for the physical and mental well being of Women folk of PPA.

Similarly, Gopabandhu Kreeda Sansad from time to time conducts Yoga sessions for PPA employees and their families to contribute a healthy workforce to the nation. As Yoga embodies unit of mind and body, thought and action, it has been incorporated in the education curriculum of the students from Port Trust UP School & High School.
